It’s not every day you get to work on a royal project, but over the last 18 months, we have been very privileged to work on the innovative Savill Garden project in Windsor Great Park!
The recently-completed project was initially conceived by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, before being later continued by King Charles III.
DJW brought their interactive vision to life by implementing state-of-the-art software to enhance their recently-built children’s Adventure Play area.
The installation features a projection of leaves, flowers, insects and animals in the treehouse. By using a camera and motion sensors children can interact with the scene as they play in the space - chasing bugs and other critters around the floor, and sweeping leaves and other flora as they pass through.
The projected scene is programmed to reflect the changing of the seasons. During the Spring and Summer months flowers and insects are prevalent, in the Autumn the ground is scattered with leaves and twigs, while during the Winter snow covers the ground.
