Data protection laws are set to change on May 25th 2018 with the introduction of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This means that as a Company we have to provide details of any personal information we hold, be more transparent about how we use this data, make you aware of where and how such information is stored, make it easier for the information stored to be removed on request and to inform you how long the data is kept.
DJW Projects Ltd takes its obligation seriously to protect any personal data that it collects, uses, shares, and processes. We have been reviewing our data retention policy and have provided such information below:
When anyone visits www.djwillrich.com no information is collected or kept from that visit.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that a website transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. DJW do not collect personal information and cookies are terminated at the end of the visitors session.
DJW does not use any personal information, as all clients are Companies or Government bodies, and we do not disclose any information to any third party, unless agreed. The only personal data we hold is that of our employees, as is necessary for HMRC purposes.
DJW do not send out marketing emails or newsletters.
We hold a client database within our accounts package, but this is not personal data, and only includes a Client contact name, and the address of the Client for billing purposes only. We keep Project details on computer and sometimes a hard copy Purchasing folder, which contains no personal data. These hard & soft copies are kept for 7 years, as many of our clients come back to us with equipment issues throughout the working life of the Project.
We use the services provided by Twitter and LinkedIn. If you send us a private or direct message via social media, the message will be stored in the respective social media platform for up to one year. The message will not be shared with any other organizations.
We would take any complaint received about this very seriously. We would encourage anyone to bring it to our attention if they think that we are not following the necessary procedures; and we would be happy to provide any additional information or explanation needed.
