Continuing our bespoke work at the London Transport Museum, DJW has recently completed the stunning installation of a Muxwave transparent LED screen, suspended high from the original structure within the museum's atrium.
DJW designed and installed a system that not only serves for advertising upcoming events and occasions but can also be used as a secondary screen for presentations, thanks to a wall plate.
By meeting the client team's demands, DJW managed to install the screen with minimal disruption to the museum's day-to-day operations. Working through the evenings and nights allowed DJW to work methodically and safely. The screen needed to be lifted by winches and assisted by a MEWP lift, with a layer of plywood placed under the MEWP to prevent any damage to the existing floors.
The screen itself consists of over 650,000 individual LEDs and has six individual internal power feeds with adjustable brightness. However, its main selling point is its transparency. The screen's manufacturing design allows the original steelwork and beams behind it to be clearly visible when the screen has no source or dark areas within the content.
